"I take a holistic approach to therapeutic work, using the context of culture, personal development, and multiple dimensions of identity. My theoretical orientation might best be descibed as cognitive-behavioral underscored by relational and feminist principles. The feminist piece not only applies to my work with women, but speaks to a larger belief in the sharing of power and recognizing injustice. In therapy, my aim is to work collaboratively towards client-identified goals. I frequently incorporate techniques like mindfulness and skill-building into sessions in order to help clients with their relationships and learning more effective coping skills."
